With support from the Australian Government Natural Resource Management team, Southern Rivers Catchment Management Authority, Landcare Australia and Toshiba (Australia) Pty Limited, the NSF workshop brought together the diverse opinions of the most avid supporters through to the views of self proclaimed skeptics. With just over 100 places available, the conference was soon sold out with literally 100’s of hopeful attendees missing out.
The resulting two days consisted of scientific debate and a site visit to a recent implementation of NSF. With twenty speakers, break out sessions, a site visit and group summations, the two days opened up a clear understanding of the opportunities for NSF, and the impediments or obstacles facing it becoming a national land management platform.
One of the outputs of the workshop is a dual DVD set, highlighting the key content from all twenty presentations, interviews, break out sessions, the site visit and group summary.
